Early Christmas Present!

Jackson was discharged from BOTH OT and PT at Mary Freebed Rehab Hospital this past week. We were actually only in therapy sessions for two weeks (instead of the estimated 5-10 weeks). We were so glad to hear this good news :) He just needed a few professional "cues" to help guide him developmentally. We are now more aware of specific exercises to do with him to help him develop age appropriate fine/gross motor skills. He is now rolling, sitting unassisted, and rocking on his hands and knees. He's even opened a Christmas present by himself (without my approval). Luckily he did not get the entire thing open, so it's still a surprise for me. Praise God for this accomplishment! An early Merry Christmas to all as I will most likely NOT post again before Tuesday (we have all of our parties back-to-back fri, sat, sun, mon, tues this year!). God Bless!!!

Winner!

So, this is like the second contest/drawing I've EVER won (the first being a coloring contest for a former department store when I was in elementary school - that was talent, this wasn's so much :) Check it out:

Bad mom????

Wow, so it must be true what "they say" when it comes to the third child...................I have been meaning to blog about Jackson's 6mth well-baby visit...........but have been busy with the other two kids and life's daily activities. So, with no further delay, here are a few highlights/lowlights of the visit:
1. He's slowed down on the growth chart - though he's still in the 50th percentile for height (27 inches) and weight (17 lbs 4 oz - keep in mind Lucas was only 17 lbs at 12mths) and 90th percentile for head circumference
2. His overall head shape is MUCH improved (thanks to therapy, multiple doctor visits, patience & prayers)
3. He has a double ear infection (and the pediatrician said to come back in if I think it hasn't gone away - like, we couldn't even tell he had one in the first place since he's such a happy baby :)
4. This wasn't the first well-baby visit I've taken a child to only to discover an ear infection........ooooops!!!

And as you can tell from the previous post...........Jackson loves the BOUNCYsaucer :) He is also proficiently rolling all over the place and discovering new teethers, such as Reece's crocs, newspaper, hangers, and ANYTHING else he can get a hold of! He also says, "DIH!" (sorry Tim, it's NOT dad).

Hope you are all enjoying the Holiday Season! Cheers to all!!!

Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy!
